APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of ConvergeNet are pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr Daniel Frederik Bisschoff ("Danie") as Chief Financial
Officer, with immediate effect.
Danie obtained his BCom (Hons) and CTA degree from the University of Pretoria in
1983 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 whilst at
PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PWC"). He left PWC in 1992 and entered the IT industry,
initially to set up the Mergers and Acquisitions department for what was then
known as Infoplan. Over the years he gained extensive experience within the ICT
industry in all facets, including the set-up of a number of ICT companies,
corporate finance, financial management, business and executive management, the
most recently, prior to his current position, at GijimaAst. He joined
ConvergeNet Holdings Limited in August of this year as group financial manager
and has now been appointed as Chief Financial Officer for the ConvergeNet
Holdings group. He serves on the boards of various companies and resides in
South Africa.
The board believes that Daniel`s extensive experience gained in senior positions
will greatly enhance the financial management function at ConvergeNet and that
his skills will contribute to the expansion strategy of the business.
