AMENDMENTS TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CALL WARRANT RELATING TO THE
ORDINARY SHARES OF FIRSTRAND LTD
Following the announcement whereby holders of Firstrand Ltd shares (FSR) will
receive 0.0561343 Discovery Holdings Ltd (DSY) share for every Firstrand (FSR)
share held, Absa Bank Ltd (the Issuer) will amend the conditions of the warrants
listed below in the following way.

Example
A Warrant holder of 5 FSRABI Warrants currently has the right to purchase 1
Firstrand Ltd share at an Exercise Price of R24.00 each, a total outlay of
R24.00. After the adjustment, a holder of 5 FSRABI Warrants will instead have
the right to 1 Firstrand Ltd Share and 0.0561343 DSY Ltd shares at an Exercise
Price of R24.00 per basket, also a total outlay of R24.00.
The effect of the abovementioned adjustment is to place the warrant and share
instalment holders in the same position they would have been in had the
unbundling not taken place. This adjustment will be effective from 19 November
2007.
