CHANGES TO THE BOARD AND THE APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Scharrig Mining wishes to announce that Casper (Cas) Scharrighuisen will be
stepping down from the Schamin Board of Directors from 30 November 2007. Cas
will remain with the company as General Manager of the opencast mining division.
Cas, one of the Scharrighuisen brothers who founded the company in the 1970`s,
has been CEO of the Group during its recent expansionary phase.
Sir Sam Jonah said; "I would like to thank Cas personally and on behalf of the
board, for his hard work, diligent support and enormously valuable contribution
to the company as an executive director and as member of the Board. We wish Cas
well with his role as General Manager of the Opencast Division and we also wish
him every success in all his future endeavours."
Scharrig Mining is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robin Berry as
Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 December 2007. Robin joined
Scharrighuisen as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Schamin in January
2007. He has been largely responsible for several acquisitions and joint
ventures over the past year and has been central to the new business strategy at
Schamin. Prior to joining Schamin, he was the Chief Executive Officer for Anglo
Coal South Africa

Scharrig to be renamed Sentula
Schamin will trade under its new name, Sentula Mining Limited, share code SNU
and ISIN ZAE00000107223, with effect from the opening of business on Monday, 26
November 2007. `Sentula` is the Zulu name for a bull that throws dirt into the
air with its horns. Shareholders and the JSE have approved all the necessary
changes and the special resolutions have been registered with the Registrar of
Companies.`
Interim Results Presentation
There will be a shareholders` presentation of the Interim results for the six
months ended 30 September 2007 at 11h00 on Tuesday, 20 November 2007 at the Park
Hyatt Hotel in Rosebank.
