PRIVATE PLACEMENT AND LISTING ON THE JSE LIMITED
In terms of the private placement detailed in Universal Industries` prospectus
dated 20 November 2007 the company successfully placed all 80 million shares
offered with selected investors at an aggregate subscription price of R120
million.
Accordingly 480 million shares in Universal Industries will be listed on the
Main Board of the JSE Limited with effect from the commencement of trade on
the JSE on Thursday, 29 November 2007. The shares will trade under the
abbreviated name "Universal" with the share code "Uni" and ISIN: ZAE000110664.
As the private placement was oversubscribed it was not possible to satisfy all
applications. Unsuccessful applicants have been notified and, where
appropriate, refund cheques will be available for collection from the offices
of Java Capital at 2 Arnold Road, Rosebank, 2196 from 10:00 on Thursday, 29
November 2007. Any refund cheques not collected by 14:00 on Monday, 2 December
2007 will be posted.
