Edge2Edge and Africa Forum agreement and withdrawal of cautionary announcement
Introduction
Edge2Edge Global Investments Ltd and Africa Forum have signed a memorandum of
understanding in terms of which Edge2Edge and Africa Forum have agreed, inter
alia, that
1). Edge2Edge will deliver Imuniti Packs to Africa Forum; and
2). Edge2Edge and Africa Forum will conclude a detailed agreement mutually
acceptable to them which will embody the principles recorded in the
aforementioned memorandum of understanding.
3). The number of Imuniti Packs distributed could be 7 million in the first
year.
Edge2Edge is owned by two of the founder members of Imuniti.
The Africa Forum is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that will actively
participate on an international level to serve the cause of Africa. The
membership of the AF is open to leaders who qualify in terms of democratic
credentials and who have made meaningful contributions to promote and sustain
democratic governance, not only in their own countries, but also in their sub-
regions and on the African continent.
At present it consists of 35 former heads of states and the patron is Nelson
Mandela.
The core function of the Africa Forum is to play a meaningful advocacy role both
internationally and on the African continent through:
- promoting democratic principles and values in Africa
- promoting peace, security and stability in Africa to support the African
Union and its New Partnership for Africa`s Development (NEPAD) initiative
- identifying creative solutions for key challenges in Africa.
In terms of speaking and acting against HIV and AIDS, various African leaders
that include former Heads of State and other key country personalities are at
the fore-front of mobilising efforts aimed at combating the epidemic. However
these efforts are still to coalesce at a regional level despite the presence of
a number of globally known and well respected personalities such as Nelson
Mandela, Kenneth Kaunda, Sir Ketumile Masire, Joachim Chissano, Sam Nujoma,
Benjamin Mkapa and Salim Ahmed Salim etc among others, whose voices command
respect at all levels of society.
Agreement with Imuniti:
Imuniti will manufacture certain of the components of the Imuniti Pack for
Edge2Edge for further delivery to Africa Forum.
These components are:
- Sutherlandia tablets
- African potato tablets
- Rooibos tablets
- Pure spirulina tablets
- Chinese green tea tablets
- Aloe Vera
This fits into the strategy of Imuniti as contained Imuniti`s annual report and
previous SENS announcements, in that Imuniti will focus on its core competency,
manufacturing.
Withdrawal of cautionary announcement.
Shareholders are advised that the cautionary announcement dated 4 December 2007,
is hereby withdrawn.
