Steel Giant transaction - Competition Commission Clearance
Shareholders are advised that, further to the announcement dated 21 August
2007, in terms of which Alert announced the acquisition of the Steel Giant
(Pty) Limited ("Steel Giant") business and sale assets as a going concern
("the Steel Giant transaction"), for a maximum purchase consideration
R12 000 000 plus the assumed liabilities, a further condition precedent to the
Steel Giant transaction has been satisfied, namely the unconditional approval
of the Steel Giant transaction by the Competition Commission authorities.
Accordingly the board of Alert announces that the Steel Giant transaction is
now unconditional in all respects.
