CHANGE OF NAME OF GVM TO COAL OF AFRICA LIMITED
Introduction
GVM shareholders are advised that a document will be posted to shareholders
shortly regarding the change of name of the Company to Coal of Africa Limited
("Coal") ("the change of name") and incorporating a form of surrender ("the
document").
It was announced on the Securities Exchange News Service ("SENS") of the JSE
Limited ("JSE") on Wednesday, 28 November 2007 that the change of name had been
approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held in Perth,
Australia.
The change of name has already taken effect on the Australian Stock Exchange and
the London Stock Exchange. The share code is CZA and the ISIN is AU000000CZA6.

Notes:
The dates and times provided for in this document are subject to amendment. Any
such amendment will be announced on SENS
Shareholders will not be able to dematerialise or rematerialise securities in
the name of GVM after Wednesday 19 December 2007.
GVM shareholders, who surrender their existing documents of title after the
record date, will have their new share certificates mailed within five business
days of receipt thereof by the transfer secretaries, by registered post in South
Africa, at the risk of the shareholder concerned.
