CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the company announces the following changes to the board of directors
("the board"):
The appointment of Alan Coward as Group Chief Executive Officer and director,
effective from 01 February 2008. Alan, a qualified chartered accountant, has
extensive industry experience including having spent nine years as Managing
Director of Panasonic SA;
The appointment of Byron Nichles as Group Chief Financial Officer and director,
effective from 01 February 2008. Byron, a qualified chartered accountant, has
over 14 years financial services and advisory experience and, as a director of
Bridge Capital, has advised Amap on a variety of corporate actions over the past
9 years;
The appointment of Leon Campher, an independent non-executive director, as
Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, effective 12 December 2007;
The resignation of Allan Nossel, effective 31 December 2007. Mr. Nossel will be
pursuing personal interests, but remains available as a consultant for a period
of 12 months from 01 January 2008. The board thanks Allan for his valuable
contribution towards the growth of the company and he leaves with the best
wishes of all at Amap.
