DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON SAPPI LIMITED ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES -
("SAPIDC")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Sappi Limited have
declared a dividend of 32 US cents per ordinary share based on an exchange rate
of US$1 = R6.9457, payable on Tuesday, 8 January 2008 to ordinary shareholders,
recorded in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 4
January 2008.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, SAPIDC,
will receive a Sappi Limited dividend of 222.26 cents per security on Tuesday, 8
January 2008, in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement
between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day to trade ("cum" the
dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be Thursday, 27 December
2007.
SAPIDC Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend from
the commencement of business on Friday, 28 December 2007, and the record date
will be Friday, 4 January 2008.
