O-line Holdings Limited wins R32 million in new contracts
Newly-listed O-Line Holdings Limited has started off the year with a bang by
being awarded a contract worth around R20m for supplying cable racking systems
for the new Green Point Stadium currently under construction for the Soccer
World Cup in 2010.
Together with the Green Point Stadium contract - and other contracts won in the
closing stages of 2007 - O-Line has an order book worth some R32m in January.
O-Line will be executing the Green Point Stadium contract in association with a
joint venture consisting of Brand Engineering, Besamandla, and Sabor`s
Electrical Contracting Consortium.
O-Line CEO, Graeme Smart, says a critical aspect of the Green Point Stadium
contract will be the company`s ability to meet the principal contractor`s tight
installation schedules.
However, he says O-Line has undertaken previous projects with the individual
companies mentioned and he feels confident in the company`s ability to meet the
required time lines.
O-Line Holdings Limited are specialists in the supply of Cable Management and
Structural Support Systems. The company has an annual turnover of R150m and
listed on AltX in November. It has major customers in the construction, mining,
petroleum and power generation industries - including Sasol, Anglo Platinum and
De Beers.
Included in the additional R12m worth of work recently won are cabling support
systems contracts for SAPPI`s extensions to its Saicor Plant; Johannesburg
Water`s Diepsloot project and expanded mining operations at Izilwini Gold; QMM
Illuminite in Madagascar; Lumwana Copper and Tarkwa in Zambia and Ruashi Phase
two.
