APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In terms of paragraph 3.59(a) and (b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the Board of Directors of Country Foods is pleased to inform
shareholders that Paballo Makosholo has been appointed as non-executive director
of the company with effect from Friday, 8 February 2008.
The appointment is in terms of the sales of shares and cession of claims
agreement signed whereby Country Foods has purchased 30% of the issued shares in
and claims against Midlands Mushrooms Farms (Pty) Limited from Kagiso
Enterprises Rural Private Equity Fund (Pty) Limited ("the acquisition").
An announcement in respect of the acquisition was released on the Securities
Exchange News Service on 13 December 2007.
