of 2002 (the "portfolio"), managed by db x-trackers (Proprietary) Limited

INITIAL OFFER FOR DBX WORLD PARTICIPATORY INTERESTS ("DBX SECURITIES")
REFERENCING THE MSCI WORLD INDEX ("MSCI WORLD INDEX"), TO BE LISTED ON THE MAIN
BOARD OF THE JSE LIMITED ("JSE") IN THE "EXCHANGE TRADED FUNDS" SECTOR
This announcement is issued in compliance with the Listings Requirements of the
JSE for information purposes only. The information set out below has been
extracted from an offering circular and pre-listing statement (as issued on 19
September 2005) (the "circular"), together with the Third Supplement thereto
(the "supplement") issued on 13 February 2008, which is available as set out
below.
1. INTRODUCTION
DBX is a collective investment scheme in securities, currently comprising
the Itrix FTSE 100 and Itrix DJ Euro Stoxx 50 portfolios. Securities in the
new DBX MSCI World Index ETF Portfolio will track the performance of the
MSCI World Index, thereby giving investors exposure to the developed
world`s equity markets.
Investors will be entitled to subscribe for participatory interests in
terms of the initial offer:
in cash, in Rands or United States Dollars, the proceeds from the issue of
every 3 million DBX securities being utilised to acquire one basket of the
securities comprising the MSCI World Index ("constituent shares"); or
in specie, by the delivery of one or more whole baskets of the constituent
shares ("baskets of constituent shares") entitling the investor to 3
million DBX securities per basket of constituent shares delivered.
The foreign securities comprising the baskets of constituent shares will be
held by the Trustee of DBX through its foreign custodian.
Participatory interests will be issued in dematerialised form only on the
terms and subject to the conditions more fully described in the circular,
the value of each of which will approximately equal 1/1000th of the MSCI
World Index level at the time of issue.
Following the listing, securities holders may either trade their securities
on the JSE, redeem them for cash or, in the case of qualifying investors,
in respect of every 3 million DBX securities redeemed, redeem them for one
basket of constituent shares.
2. SALIENT DATES AND TIMES AND FURTHER ANNOUNCEMENT
The initial offer will remain open from 09:00 on Wednesday, 13 February
2008 until 12:00 on Wednesday, 5 March 2008 (however, investors are advised
to confirm the date and time of closing of the initial offer with their
individual broker or CSDP as this may vary for particular brokers and
CSDP`s).
LAs will be issued in the name of successful applicants on Monday, 10 March
2008 and will convert to DBX securities at commencement of trading on
Wednesday, 19 March 2008.
A further announcement containing the results of the initial offer
including the issue price will be published on SENS on Wednesday, 19 March
2008.
3. NOTICE
DBX Managers has been granted permission to use the name "MSCI World Index"
by the owner of the Index, MSCI Incorporated.
DBX securities are not in any way sponsored, endorsed, sold or promoted by
MSCI Incorporated ("MSCI"), any of its affiliates, any of its information
providers or any third party involved in, or related to, compiling,
computing or creating any MSCI index.
Investors are referred to the supplement for further details on the terms
of use of the MSCI World Index and the limitation of liability on the part
of MSCI Incorporated.
