UPDATE: KIMBERLITE EXPLORATION IN NAMIBIA - NAMDEB JOINT VENTURE
Shareholders are referred to the Circular to Shareholders issued on 16 July 2007
relating, inter alia, to the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of
Minnex Exploration Limited ("Minnex"). Minnex holds 80% of the share capital of
Minnex Exploration Namibia (Pty) Limited ("Minnex Namibia").
Thabex is pleased to announce that 7 geophysical anomalies have been selected
for drilling on Minnex Namibia`s two exclusive prospecting licenses
("EPL")situated in northeastern Namibia by their joint venture partner Namdeb
Corporation (Pty) Limited ("Namdeb").
To date, Namdeb has identified 15 genuine airborne geophysical anomalies that
were subsequently tested in 2007 by various ground-based geophysical surveys.
While analysis of the ground-based surveys continues, a total of 7 targets for
drilling have been recommended. The targets are roughly equally distributed
between the two EPL`s.
Namdeb recently confirmed that drilling of the 7 targets has commenced and
further announcements will be made as the results of the drilling become
available.
