BEE transaction update and cautionary announcement
Further to the announcements made on 16 November 2007 and 26 November 2007
relating to Metmar`s BEE transaction and dealings in securities by Metmar
directors, shareholders are advised that in terms of the BEE transaction as
finally agreed, Polkadots Property 93 (Proprietary) Limited, a company in which
Dr Alistair Ruiters has a 50% indirect interest, acquired 9 268 104 Metmar
shares and Daphne Mashile-Nkosi directly acquired 9 268 104 Metmar shares at a
price of R3.44 per Metmar share. Both Dr Alistair Ruiters and Daphne Mashile-
Nkosi are non-executive directors of Metmar. The total value of the BEE
transaction was R63 764 555.
Shareholders are further advised that Metmar has entered into negotiations,
which if successfully concluded, may have a material effect on the price of
Metmar`s securities. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise caution
when dealing in the company`s securities until a full announcement is made.
