APPOINTMENT OF DEUTSCHE SECURITIES AS PLACING AGENT IN RESPECT OF THE BUILDMAX
PRIVATE PLACEMENT
Buildmax shareholders are referred to the abridged revised listing particulars
("abridged RLP") published on 5 March 2008 and are advised that Deutsche
Securities has been appointed as the placing agent in respect of the private
placement being undertaken by Buildmax.
As detailed in the abridged RLP, in terms of the private placement:
Buildmax intends raising up to R370 million by the issue of Buildmax shares to
selected investors at the subscription price of between R1.80 and R2.20 per
Buildmax share; and
to the extent that there is sufficient demand, certain Buildmax shareholders may
sell up to R100 million worth of Buildmax shares at the subscription price.
The key dates in relation to the private placement are set out below.
2008
Opening date of the offer (09:00) Wednesday, 5 March
Closing date of the offer (12:00)1 Wednesday, 26 March
Notification of allotments Thursday, 27 March
Receive payment from placees Monday, 31 March
Listing of additional shares Wednesday, 2 April
Placees` accounts at CSDP or broker updated Wednesday, 2 April
and debited in respect of dematerialised
shareholders
(1) Applicants must receive shares in dematerialised form and must advise their
CSDP or broker of their acceptance of the offers in the manner and cut-off
time stipulated by their CSDP or broker (as the closing date applicable to
them will be a date earlier than the official closing date).
(2) These dates and times are subject to amendment. Any such amendment will be
released on SENS and published in the press.
