BHP Billiton announced on 11 March 2008 that it plans to take the bulk of its
South African power reduction at Bayside which may include a possible closure of
operations of the B and C potlines at Bayside.
BHP Billiton has confirmed that it will continue to meet Hulamin`s metal
requirement in line with the existing agreement.
