Trading Statement
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited relating to trading
statements, a listed company is required to publish a trading statement as soon
as it becomes aware that the financial results for the next period to be
reported on will differ by at least 20% or more from those of the previous
corresponding period.
Awethu is expecting the earnings and headline earnings per share to be 0.56
cents per share for the six months ended to 31 December 2007. Compared to
earnings and headline earnings per share for the prior comparable period, this
represents a difference that is greater than 20%.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based, has been
reviewed by Awethu`s auditors, being Lucro Auditing, and their review report in
respect of the period end results to 31 December 2007 will be available for
inspection at the offices of the company at 24 Sering Street, SE3,
Vanderbijlpark, 1911.
