Changes to the Board
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
Foord Compass hereby announces the following changes to its Board of Directors
("the Board"):
Resignation
The retirement of Clive Hirschsohn, Chairman, from the Board, with effect from
29 April 2008. Clive Hirschsohn was appointed to the Board in 2001 and has
served as Chairman from that date.
Appointment
The appointment of Mark Hodges as Chairman of the Board from 29 April 2008. Mark
has served on the Board since 2001. He is a director and senior portfolio
manager at Foord Asset Management (Pty) Ltd, where he manages balanced funds and
equity portfolios. Mark is also a director of Foord Unit Trusts Limited.
The appointment of Jan van Niekerk as an independent, non-executive director
from 23 April 2008. Jan is Chief Investment Officer at Citadel Investment
Services Limited where he is involved in asset class research, fund manager
selection, investment strategy and portfolio management of the various Citadel
funds.
