Michael McMahon formally appointed as Non Executive Director
Sedupe Ramokgopa retires from Board
Central Rand Gold Limited, the gold exploration and development company, is
pleased to announce the formal appointment of John Michael McMahon as a non-
executive director of the Company following the approval of his appointment at
yesterday`s board meeting. Michael McMahon has also been appointed to the
Technical, Health, Safety and Environmental Committee, the Audit and Risk
Management Committee, the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
In addition, at the same board meeting, Sedupe ("Rams") Ramokgopa announced his
retirement from the board of the Company and the board of the Company`s
principal operating subsidiary, Central Rand Gold South Africa (Proprietary)
Limited, both with immediate effect. Alastair Walton, Chairman, commented; "Rams
Ramokgopa has been instrumental in the development of Central Rand Gold, from
the early stage building of the Company and its strong exploration portfolio, to
the recent IPO in London and Johannesburg. On behalf of the Company and my
fellow directors, I would like to offer Rams heartfelt thanks for his work and
advice and we wish him well in his retirement".
