TRADING UPDATE
The abridged prospectus relating to the private placing of shares in Kwikot was
released on SENS earlier today, 13 May 2008.
Whilst the private placing is limited to invited institutional investors,
selected private clients and invited retail investors only, market participants
are nevertheless advised that it will be disclosed during the private placing
roadshow that Kwikot`s revenue and EBIT for the three months ended 31 March 2008
were R171.3 million and R51.0 million respectively (these figures have not been
reviewed and reported on by the Company`s auditors). This information is being
made public in-line with the general principles of the JSE Limited ("JSE")
Listing Requirements relating to the full, equal and timely public disclosure of
price-sensitive information.
The private placing will be followed by the listing of Kwikot on the JSE on
Wednesday, 28 May 2008. The Company will be listed in the "Construction &
Materials - Building Materials and Fixtures" sector under the abbreviated name
"Kwikot".
The next major event on the Company`s calendar will be the publication of its
final results for the twelve months to 30 June 2008, which is scheduled for
September 2008.
