AVENG APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Board of Aveng Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger
Jardine as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 7 July 2008.
Jardine has held the position of the Chief Operating Officer of Kagiso Trust
since November 2006, before which he was Chief Executive Officer of Kagiso Media
for seven years. Prior to that Jardine was Director General of the Department of
Science and Technology for five years. He also served as chairman of the CSIR
and the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (NECSA) for six years.
Aveng`s Board of Directors is confident that Jardine`s experience and leadership
will complement the group`s strong operational management, both at its
operations and the corporate office.
Angus Band will continue in his capacity as Executive Chairman of Aveng until 7
July 2008.
