Transaction in Own Shares
Old Mutual Plc ("the Company") announces that on 15 May 2008 it purchased
through Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limited a total of 388,784 of the
Company`s ordinary shares of 10p each.
All of these shares were acquired on the JSE Limited at an average price of ZAR
17.8716 per share.
The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company`s current issued
share capital is now 5,275,805,809 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the
237,880,540 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
