CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
the board of directors of Acc-Ross are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms
Yvonne Thato ("Thabiso") Moerane to the board as an, independent non-executive
director with effect from 16 May 2008.
After matriculating 1982, Thabiso joined JCI as an accounts department trainee
in 1984 and received a bursary, completing her National Diploma in Accounting at
Witwatersrand Technikon in 1988. From 1988 to 1993 Thabiso took on the role of
supervisor in the accounts department whilst completing a Higher Diploma in
Taxation at Technikon SA. She transferred to JCI Ltd in 1993 where she served as
an accounting assistant until 1995.
In 1995 Thabiso started her own IT company called Ideal Data CC which later
merged with five other companies in 1998 becoming Kwetliso Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
She practised as a financial and tax consultant between 1999 and 2001. She
joined Black Information Technology Empowerment Company Limited ("Blitec") in
2001 as a consultant before being appointed as managing director. Casey was an
investment of Blitec, and Thabiso joined the Casey board in 2002 where she was
responsible for restructuring and recapitalising the group, which later acquired
DataPro Group Limited.
Thabiso is currently the Managing Director of Khulumanjalo Group which is an
infrastructure provider for wireless telecommunications services. From 1998 to
2000 Thabiso was served on the board of Sentech between 1998 and 2000. She was a
member of the board of SAP Public Services (Pty) Ltd between 2002 and 2006. She
served as the non-executive chairperson of Vox Telecom Ltd (previously DataPro
Group Ltd), a telecommunications service provider between 2004 and 2006. She
currently serves on the board of SecureData Holdings Ltd (previously ERP.com
Holdings Ltd) since 2004.
Thabiso holds a National Diploma in Accounting from the University of
Johannesburg (previously Technikon Southern Africa), a Higher Diploma in
Taxation from UNISA (previously, Technikon S.A.) and a MBA from Duke University
(USA). She is currently studying towards a DBA (Doctorate in Business
Administration) with Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid, Spain,
which is scheduled for completion is 2009.
