Standard Bank Group and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited ("SBSA")
announce the retirement of Buddy Hawton.
Buddy was originally appointed to the SBSA board in 1988 and to the Standard
Bank Group board in 1995. He has played a pivotal role as an independent non-
executive director chairing the remuneration committee and serving on the group
risk and capital management committee. The Standard Bank Group and SBSA boards
express their appreciation to him for his contribution and wish him well in his
retirement.
