QUARTERLY DISCLOSURE ON BASEL II CAPITAL ADEQUACY                               
Mercantile and Mercantile Bank Limited ("the Bank") has complied with Basel II  
since 1st January 2008. In terms of Pillar 3 under Basel , the Group is required
to disclose quantitative information on its capital adequacy ratios on a        
quarterly basis.                                                                
The consolidated capital position of the Group and the capital position of the  
Bank at the end of the first quarter are set out below.
