TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that Basil Read expects its earnings per share and
headline earnings per share for the period ending 30 June 2008 to be between 55%
and 75% higher compared to the previously reported corresponding period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by Basil Read`s auditors.
The group`s results for the period ending 30 June 2008 will be published on or
about 08 August 2008.
The group`s current order book amounts to R5 billion as compared to R3.4 billion
at the same time last year.
