TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a Trading Statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported on next, will differ by more
that 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
The board of directors of Matodzi advised that its headline earnings per share
for the year ended 31 March 2008 is expected to show a loss per share of between
1.6 and 2.0 cents as opposed to the 12.1 cents loss per share as reported for
the comparable period ended 31 March 2007, and earnings per share is expected to
show a loss of between 1.4 and 1.8 cents per share loss a opposed to the 70.7
cents profit per share reported for the year to 31 March 2007.
The information contained in this Trading Statement has not been reviewed or
reported on by Matodzi`s external auditors. Matodzi will release its abridged
audited results for the year ended 31 March 2008 on 24 June 2008.
