CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are advised of the following changes to the board of directors:
Appointment:
Messers John Ernest Newbury and Peter Vivian Henwood have been appointed to the
board of directors with effect from 23 June 2008.
Mr Newbury, who will serve as an executive director, is the executive chairman
of Kolbenco (Proprietary) Limited, a company acquired by MICROmega on the 8
April 2008. He has extensive experience in the motor industry including
previously holding the position of the CEO of Automakers Limited. Mr Newbury
currently serves on various boards, both of listed and unlisted entities, and
thus has a good understanding of good corporate governance and regulations
affecting the company.
Mr Henwood, who will serve as a non-executive director, is a recently retired
audit partner of KPMG Inc. who has 43 years of experience in the audit
environment. Mr Henwood has been registered as a Chartered Accountant for the
last 26 years. He has extensive audit and risk knowledge which will be utilised
in his role as the chairman of the audit committee.
