TRADING STATEMENT
Emergent linked unitholders are advised that it is expected that the interim
results of Emergent for the interim financial period ended 31 March 2008 will
reflect an improvement in the loss and headline loss per linked unit by between
90% and 100% as compared to the prior corresponding interim period, to a loss
and headline loss of approxiamately 2.6 cents per linked unit.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the issuer`s auditors either in accordance with
paragraph 3.4(b)(vi)(1)(aa) or paragraph 3.4(b)(vi)(1)(bb) of the JSE Listings
Requirements.
It is expected that the reviewed abridged interim results will be announced on
SENS and published in the press on or about 01 July 2008 and results will be
posted to shareholders shortly thereafter.
