ACCIDENT AT PAMODZI GOLD`S EAST RAND OPERATIONS
The executive and management of Pamodzi Gold Limited (Pamodzi Gold) deeply
regret to announce that an accident occurred at its East Rand operations in
Gauteng, claiming the life of one of its employees.
Mr Jose Albino Mugabe, a locomotive guard, died last night (2 July 2008) after
sustaining fatal injuries when he was struck underground by a hopper at K12
cross-cut working place. Mr Mugabe had over ten years mining experience.
A full investigation has been launched into the accident, in conjunction with
the Department of Minerals and Energy, to confirm the cause of the accident.
"After encouraging safety improvements on all our operations, the current
fatalities at Pamodzi Gold are not acceptable. Safety training and hazard
awareness has been intensified at all our operations," said Tony Murdoch Eaton,

The executive of Pamodzi Gold and the management of the East Rand operations
have expressed their heartfelt condolences to Mr Mugabes`s family, friends and
colleagues, and assure them of Pamodzi Gold`s support during this difficult
time.
