TRADING STATEMENT
The Ellies prospectus issued on 28 August 2007 contains a profit forecast for
the period ending 30 April 2008.
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they become aware that the financial
results for the period to be reported upon next would differ by at least 20%
from the previously released profit forecast.
Ellies accordingly advises that for the period ended 30 April 2008 it expects
earnings and headline earnings per share to be between 24% and 29% higher than
the profit forecast.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. The reviewed financial
results of the company are expected to be published on or about 21 July 2008.
