Changes to the board of directors
In compliance with section 3.59 of the JSE Limited`s Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that Mr MJ Lamberti, an independent non-executive
director of Altron, has resigned from the board of the company with effect from
18 July 2008.
Mr Lamberti has decided to invest in a private company in which he will assume a
full time executive position as executive chairman. Asides from a division of
this company potentially competing with certain of the business activities of
Altron, this new venture will substantially reduce Mr Lamberti`s capacity for
non-executive activity.
Shareholders are further advised that with effect from 01 August 2008, Mr AMR
Smith has been appointed as an executive director and the chief financial
officer of Altron.
Mr Smith was previously the Altron group financial manager having joined Altron
in January 2006. Prior to this he was an associate director - transaction
services at PricewaterhouseCoopers Incorporated in Johannesburg.
