SABMILLER ANNOUNCES PUBLICATION OF PROSPECTUS

On 25 July 2008 SABMiller plc submitted to the Financial Services Authority a
base prospectus relating to the establishment of a U.S.$5,000,000,000 Euro
Medium Term Note Programme (the "Programme").
SABMiller expects that any notes issued in the future under the Programme will
be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and admitted to
trading on the Regulated Market of the London Stock Exchange plc. No notes are
being issued under the Programme at this time.
The base prospectus will shortly be available for inspection at the Financial
Services Authority`s Document Viewing Facility, which is situated at:
