CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
AECI is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Kathan (38) as an Executive
Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, with effect from 1
September 2008.
Mark is a chartered accountant and, most recently, served as a member of the
group executive management of a JSE Limited-listed company. He has gained
experience not only in South Africa but also in other African countries. In his
career, he has held positions covering a range of commercial activities, as well
as auditing, management accounting and corporate finance.
Mark will succeed Roger Williams who has resigned from AECI, with effect from 31
August 2008. Shareholders were notified of Roger`s intentions in this regard in
a SENS announcement published on 9 May 2008.
AECI thanks Roger for his insight and contribution and looks forward to Mark`s
input to the affairs of the Company and the Board.
