As part of the dual listed company structure, Investec plc and Investec Limited
notify both the London Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited of matters which are
required to be disclosed under the Disclosure, Transparency and Listing Rules of
the United Kingdom Listing Authority (the "UKLA") and/or the JSE Listing
Requirements.
Accordingly, we advise of the following:
ADDITIONAL LISTING - INVESTEC LIMITED
Investec Limited announces that it has today issued 17 869 970 new ordinary
shares of ZAR0.0002 each in the capital of Investec Limited, in exchange for 3
573 994 Investec Bank Limited ordinary shares issued on the conversion of
convertible debentures issued to a third party.
The total number of issued ordinary shares in Investec Limited is now 262 590
468.
Approval has been granted for the admission of these shares to trading on the
JSE Limited, with effect from 1 August 2008. The shares shall rank equally with
the existing issued ordinary shares of Investec Limited.
Pursuant to the Black Economic Empowerment (`BEE`) transaction announced on 15
May 2003, the Investec Limited Security Purchase Scheme 2003 Trust acquired 4
485 362 Investec Limited ordinary shares so as to maintain the BEE parties
current holdings in Investec Limited at 25.1%.
