DISPOSAL OF THE COMPANY`S 25% INTEREST IN TOYOTA SOUTH AFRICA (PROPRIETARY)

Shareholders are advised that, at the general meeting of Wesco held on Monday
4 August 2008, all the resolutions required to implement the transaction were
approved by the requisite majorities of shareholders and have, where
necessary, been submitted to the Registrar of Companies for registration.
At the meeting, shareholders were advised that it is intended that the net
proceeds of the disposal (amounting to approximately R217.00 per share) will
be distributed to shareholders on or before 30 September 2008.
