ANNOUNCEMENT
Sentula announced in June 2008 that the board of directors had appointed a
sub-committee, comprising the deputy chairman (Dines Gihwala), the head of
the audit committee (Jonathan Best) and an accounting firm (KPMG) to review
the circumstances that led to the restatement of the 2007 financial results
and to report thereon as soon as the investigation was completed.
KPMG`s forensic auditing department has reached a sensitive stage in their
investigation and the conclusions will be reported on in due course. However,
at this stage the report has implicated certain past members of management in
irregular activities associated with the accounting errors that resulted in
the restatement. Management believe that there will be no further material
adverse financial impact on the company resulting from these irregularities,
other than as already disclosed in the restated 2007 financial results
announced on 25 June 2008.
Once the report is finalised, the findings will be made available to the
board of directors and to all shareholders.
