Shareholders are advised that on 12 August 2008, Altron Chairman and Founder, Dr
WP Venter disposed of 1 005 000 Altron participating preference shares on the
open market for a total sale consideration of R33.9 million.
These shares representing 0.42% of the total issued share capital of Altron`s
participating preference shares were sold pursuant to a share portfolio
realignment exercise and do not in any way impact upon the Venter Family`s
control of the Altron group which is maintained through the voting ordinary
share structure.
