UPDATE ON EMERGENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the announcement dated 1 July 2008, linked unit holders are advised
that the AltX Advisory Committee has recommended to the Issuer Services Division
of JSE Limited ("JSE") that the company be allowed to apply to list on AltX. A
circular including revised listing particulars will be submitted for approval to
the JSE shortly and thereafter posted to linked unit holders. Linked units in
Emergent will remain suspended until successful implementation of the
acquisition referred to in the announcement dated 18 April 2008. The continued
listing of Emergent is subject to the JSE approving the acquisition in terms of
its Listings Requirements. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise
caution in their dealings in Emergent linked units pending a further
announcement.
