The Company was notified on 19 August 2008 that the trustee of the Lonmin Plc
Employee Benefit Trust (`Trust`) purchased in London 241 Lonmin Plc Ordinary
Shares of US$1 each (`Shares`) and an additional 9 Shares in Johannesburg. These
shares were purchased following the reinvestment of dividends paid to the Trust
on behalf of participants of the Deferred Annual Bonus Plan including the
director and PDMRs listed below.
