DECLARED INTERIM DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON ANGLO AMERICAN PLC ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES - ("AGLIDF")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Anglo American plc
have declared a interim dividend of R3.2490 per ordinary share payable on
Thursday, 18 September 2008 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in the books of
the company at the close of business on Friday, 22 August 2008.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, AGLIDF
will receive an Anglo American plc interim dividend of R3.2490 per securities
payable on Thursday, 18 September 2008, in terms of the Cession clause
incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited.
The last day to trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the
dividend will be Friday, 15 August 2008.
AGLIDF Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend from
the commencement of business on Monday, 18 August 2008, and the record date will
be Friday, 22 August 2008.
