NEW APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Shareholders are advised that Roy Andersen has been appointed to the Board of
Directors of Aspen as an independent non-executive director with effect from
26 August 2008. Roy qualified as a Chartered Accountant and he previously
served as Chairman and CEO of Ernst & Young, Executive President of JSE
Limited, Deputy Chairman and CEO of Liberty Group Limited and non-executive
director of Standard Bank of South Africa Limited. His current appointments
include Chairman and non-executive director of both Murray & Roberts Holdings
Ltd and Sanlam Limited, director of Virgin Active UK and director of Business
Against Crime. His past experience includes serving as a member of the King
Committee on Corporate Governance and as an alternate board member on the
Independent Regulatory Body for Auditors.
Roy brings to Aspen a wealth of experience and knowledge. The Board is
confident that with his qualifications and experience Roy will make a
valuable contribution to Aspen.
