Trading Statement
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that as a result of the downturn in the trading conditions within the
poultry industry in South Africa, Country Bird Holdings expects that its
earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the year ending 30 June
2008 will be between 80% and 90% lower than that of the previous year.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
external auditors. The release of the final announcement of results for the
year ended 30 June 2008 is expected to be published on or about 4 September
2008.
