Old Mutual plc (the Company) announces the following changes in listed
subsidiary share interests of a PDMR.
Exercise of an option under the Nedcor Group (1994) Employee Incentive Scheme
Mr T A Boardman, Chief Executive of Nedbank Group Limited, exercised an option
on 28 August 2008 over 125,000 Nedbank Group Limited shares, originally granted
on 11 May 2004. Mr Boardman sold 100,000 of these shares and retained 25,000, as
follows:

The total number of Nedbank Group Limited shares held by Mr Boardman under
option under the Nedcor Group (1994) Employee Incentive Scheme and the Nedbank
Group (2005) Share Option, Matched Share and Restricted Share Scheme is 292,765
of which 100,000 have vested. The total number of restricted shares held by Mr
Boardman under the Nedbank Group (2005) Share Option, Matched Share and
Restricted Share Scheme is 60,167.
Mr Boardman also holds 98,936 Nedbank Group Limited Ordinary shares (of which
30,000 are held in respect of the Matched Share Scheme) and 85,000 Nedbank
Limited preference shares.
