DECLARED ORDINARY AND SPECIAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON ANGLO AMERICAN PLC
ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES - ("AEGIDA")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Aveng Limited have
declared an ordinary dividend of 145 cents per ordinary share and a special
dividend of 145 cents, payable simultaneously on Friday, 24 October 2008 to
ordinary shareholders recorded in the books of the company at the close of
business on Friday, 17 October 2008.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, AEGIDA
will receive an Aveng Limited dividend of 145 cents per ordinary dividend and a
special dividend of 145 cents per security payable simultaneously on Friday, 24
October 2008, in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement
between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day to trade ("cum"
the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be Friday, 10 October
2008.
AEGIDA Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend from
the commencement of business on Monday, 13 October 2008, and the record date
will be Friday, 17 October 2008.
