TRADING STATEMENT
Sallies is finalising its results for the year ended 30 June 2008 which will be
released on SENS on or about 10 September 2008. In this regard, shareholders are
advised that in respect of the period ended 30 June 2008, the headline and basic
loss per share is expected to be between 6.0 cents and 7.0 cents compared to the
previous corresponding period ended 30 June 2007, with a headline loss and basic
loss of 8.5 cents per share and 8.4 cents per share respectively.
In July 2007, the company implemented a rights offer of 124 916 922 Sallies
shares at an issue price of R0.60 per share. The diluted headline and basic loss
per share (in terms of IAS 33, paragraph 26 and 27b, after adjusting for the
shares issued in terms of the rights offer) for the prior period ended 30 June
2007 was 7.7 cents and 7.8 cents respectively resulting in an improvement of the
headline loss and basic loss of between 10% and 30% when comparing with the
period ended 30 June 2008.
