In terms of paragraph 3.59 (b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
Avusa advises that Mr Mashudu Ramano will be stepping down as Chairman of the
board on 30 September 2008 but will remain an independent non-executive board
member. Advocate Dumisa Ntsebeza has been appointed to the board as an
independent non-executive Chairman from 30 September 2008.
