CHANGES TO MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
Sentula is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Dirk Miller as Chief
Executive of its subsidiary, Scharrighuisen Opencast Mining, with effect from
6 October 2008.
Dirk is an Engineer by training and is well positioned to lead the opencast
subsidiary as he brings practical operational, technical and general
management experience to the position. He will succeed Mr Clint Moorcroft who
will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer to assume his previous role
as Head of Operations for the subsidiary.
Dirk`s mining and engineering experience dates back to 1987 and was gained
mainly with Anglo Coal where he worked in various roles and at several mines
including the SACE Kromdraai Opencast mine as well as Kriel, Bank and
Kleinkopje Collieries.
Most recently his experience includes general management on open cast mines
with functional responsibility for the production, planning and geological
functions, as well as responsibility for labour and union matters.
Furthermore, Mr Marthinus de Jager has been confirmed as Chief Financial
Officer of the group`s Mining Services Division, succeeding Jason Holland.
Marthinus joined the company in April 2008 from Shanduka Coal.
In addition, Ms Nicola Cillie has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer
for Scharrighuisen Opencast Mining with immediate effect. Nicola`s
appointment will strengthen the management and financial reporting at the
subsidiary level.
Mr Robin Berry, Chief Executive Officer of Sentula said; "We are pleased to
have depth in our management and great operational, technical and financial
skills to draw on in this subsidiary and across our operations. It remains a
strategy of ours to build in layers of management to improve the depth for
continuity and it underpins the growth of our core businesses."
