TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that the
financial results for the next period to be reported on will show a 20% or more
difference from those of the previous corresponding period.
Zeder hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that, for the
six months ended 31 August 2008, headline earnings per share will be between
13.4 cents and 13.9 cents per share, or between 51% to 53% lower than that for
the six months ended 31 August 2007. The decrease in headline earnings is due
to the decrease in the marked-to-market profits for the 6 months ended 31 August
2008 in comparison to the 6 months ended 31 August 2007.
The attributable earnings per share figure can not be calculated with a
reasonable degree of certainty at this point and an indication of what the
attributable earnings per share would be is therefore not provided.
Zeder`s investment portfolio will in future be published on SENS in conjunction
with its bi-annual results announcement.
This financial information has not been reviewed and reported on by the auditors
of Zeder. The results for the six months ended 31 August 2008 are expected to
be published on or about 6 October 2008.
