Messrs A Patel and RL Hiemstra and Ms ZJ Matlala have been appointed as non-
executive directors with effect from 22 September 2008.
Mr A (Afzal) Patel is currently the managing director of Kagiso Ventures
(Proprietary) Limited and has over fifteen years experience in corporate
finance, private equity and financial services.
Mr RL (Tak) Hiemstra is, since 1991, employed at Imperial Holdings Limited. He
joined the board in 1993 and spearheaded several acquisitions and new
greenfields ventures. He was a non-executive director for Kagiso Media Limited
between 2000 and 2007.
Ms ZJ (Joyce) Matlala was appointed as financial director for Kagiso Trust
Investments (Proprietary) Limited in January 2006. She serves as a non-executive
director on the boards of Merafe Resources Limited, Incwala Resource
(Proprietary) Limited and Mbuyu Biotechnology (Proprietary) Limited.
Ms RM (Maud) Motanyane non-executive independent director to the board since 1
September 2005, will succeed Mr. WR (Roger) Jardine as chairperson to the board,
upon his resignation which is due to be effective 26 November 2008.
